RE:STYLE Supports “Bras For A Cause”—And Wins First Place!

Kathi Presutti and Cari Pilon, both of RE:STYLE, created the winning bra design, ”Get Lucky Tonight”, which was presented in Project Runway style by their model, Jay McMaken. The bra used lottery scratch-off tickets as it’s main design element, so whoever purchased the bra at the auction could possibly win thousands of dollars if they were to “get lucky” with the tickets!

The event was sponsored by the Women’s Council of Realtors Livingston Chapter, of which Presutti is a member. McMaken, who added his kilt to the design mix, did an amazing job not only on the runway, but collected the third highest amount of money (stuffed in his bra, kilt, socks, etc.). Here’s a quote from the Livingston County Daily Press and Argus, who covered the event:

“Jay McMaken of Plymouth won the coveted top- model award for his seductive catwalk, luring the room full of lovely ladies to stuff his kilt full of dollar bills. Before the show, McMaken said women would be ‘powerless against the power of sexy bra and kilt,’ and he was right.

‘It was awesome,’ he said. ‘It's nice to see the women act a little crazy.’"

The event raised thousands of dollars for the American Cancer  Society. Only in its second year, it easily beat the $8000 gross from last year.

The judging criteria for the winning entry was based on creativity, originality, complexity of design, presentation (which Jay took over the top!) and overall appearance. Read more about the event here.
